Ask your tax preparer if they are authorized to e-file your tax return.
Any tax preparer that can e-file Federal tax returns is authorized to
e-file New York tax returns, as long as they are using software that has
been approved for the New York e-file program. You can also access the
IRS' interactive e-file provider site to help you find a
tax professional or tax preparation business near you.
